Sasural Simar Ka is the about Simar, a girl from a small town girl. Simar is played by Deepika Samson. She is full of life and bolongs to a middle class family. Her father, Jamna Lal Dwivedi, maintains strict discipline in the house and teaches stong value and culture to the family. Pankaj Dheer has played the character of Jamna Lal Dwivedi in Sasural Simar Ka. All the family members love each other.
Things change in TV serial Sasural Simar Ka when Simra enrols for a dance competions and starts chasing her dreams. This was done without the knowledge her father and her in-laws. However, her husband and some family members help Simar in her journey. Jaya Ojha has beautifully played the character of Simar's mother.
These hide and seek create some intersting moments in the drama. The TV serial is a true reflection of the families in the small towns in India. It is an inspirations story for the girls to persue their dreams.
