Uttaran is a successful TV serial on Colors. It is a story of jealously and revenge. The story is abount three main characters Ichcha, Tapasya and Veer. Uttaran shows the jealousy of Tapasya on Ichacha and to what extent she goes to spoil Ichcha's like.

Ichcha belongs to a poor family. Tina Dutta plays the role of Ichcha in Uttaran. However, her father was killed by Jogi Thakur, who later accept her as member of his family as a compensation for killing Ichcha's falter. Ichcha is a simple girl with high moral values. Everybody like Ichcha because of her nature. This irks Jogi Thakur's daughter, Tapasya.

Tapasy's character is played by Rashmi Desai in Uttaran. She is jealous of Ichcha and her motive is to spoil Ichcha's life at any expense. She gets married to Veer Singh Bundela by deceit when Veer was marrying Ichcha.

Nandish Sandhu has played the charactr of Veer Singh Bundela in Uttaran. He is young, handsome and rich. Veer was attracted to Ichcha and wanted to marry her. But to drama and deceipt is married to Tapasya.
